Minutes of September 2009 meeting--not read because nobody thought to print a copy for the meeting!!! OOPS!!
Treasurer's Report: Beginning balance $3,276.92; took in $2.00 rebate; took in $10.00 in dues; dispensed $100 for electricity bill leaving a new balance of $3,188.92. MMSC (Motion made, seconded, carried) to accept.
CW Net Report: 18 check-ins
2M Net Report: Not available
Old Business: 315 Repeater--the power supply is giving good, steady voltage to the system. The mag-mount antenna on the metal roof leaves a lot to be desired. It was noted by several in attendance that the ability to get into the 315 was now either difficult or impossible. The question was posed as to what to do with the current tower on Woodlawn Rd property--MMSC to hire someone to lower the tower--we will then remove the antenna & coax to put on the new site with a supplied 30 foot tower. Price not to exceed $500 for tower lowering. MMSC to approve such.
Question was asked if the donation from Arnie Weiss had arrived yet for the Treasurer to deposit--it has not arrived yet. Mr. Weiss will be re-contacted.
Harvest Festival--John H to bring his HF equipment, table & chair; Bill Holland and Frank to help with making HF contacts. Rich Kelly to bring spare 2M rig, antenna & power supply and run the rig. It was noted that we need a sign made with information on how to get licensed as a Ham operator. Jim Stewart to see about providing an easel. Antenna setup will be on Friday, 10/9 at about 1300 hours. Adin M will provide prizes in the form of wind breaker jackets for furthest contacts made.
Rich K noted the following: that the written agreement between the county and K2NK for him to relocate the 955 and 53.270 to Craig Tower is still in the works; the next meeting of the Delaware Co RACES will be on 10/22/09 at the O'Connor Hosp Board Meeting Room at 7pm; this years SET will try to involve the Delaware Co Public Health Department.
New Business: None.
Refreshments for November 1, 2009 will be provided by Frank (since he was not present, this will be a surprise to him!!).
Adjournment: MMSC to adjourn at 1443 hours.
Respectfully submitted, Richard Kelly, W2RRK
